November 27th is National Physician Assistant Day in Canada, an opportunity to recognize the critical contributions that Physician Assistants (PAs) make in the world of healthcare. PAs work as an extension of a practicing physician, enabling healthcare teams to address the needs of more patients. Through performing patients’ assessments, developing diagnoses, and managing comprehensive treatment regimes, PAs help increase efficiency within the world of healthcare.

PAs’ contributions help reduce patients wait times, reduce healthcare costs, and help save physician’s time by more than 30%, according to the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants.
